She substitute teaches in the West Muskingum schools and leads fitness classes at Southtown Gym, sharing her passion for health and education with others.

A former Ohio State Buckeyes cheerleader, Ashton graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts and sciences. Today, she is thrilled to be part of Heroes Landing, excited to contribute to its growth and impact on lives in the community.

A proud Crooksville native and Crooksville High School graduate (Class of 1972), Mark comes from a large Catholic family with 14 siblings. He is a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne Division, reaching the rank of Sergeant (E-5) by the age of 20. Following Mark’s military service, he spent 38 fulfilling years with American Electric Power, retiring at age 63.

Today, Mark is honored to join the board of Directors for Brave Beginnings, inspired by its impactful work in the community. After touring the facility and gaining a deeper understanding of the overwhelming need for support, Mark is eager to contribute to this dedicated team and help address pressing local and statewide challenges.

In addition to her professional work, Ashlie is deeply involved in her community. She actively participates in the Adamsville Community Progressive Council and Child Care Resources, using her time and skills to support meaningful local initiatives. When she’s not working or engaged in community service, Ashlie loves spending time golfing and enjoying quality time with her family and friends, embodying a wonderful balance between her career, family, and community.

With a dedicated career spanning over 40 years in the coil coating industry, Richard brings a wealth of experience in manufacturing and industrial operations. After attending Brookhaven High School (1974-1976), he began his professional journey at Lumi-Lite Candle Co., later advancing his career at E.G. Smith/CENTRIA and other industry-leading businesses. Richard retired in October 2023, marking a long and successful career.

Today, he continues to stay active by volunteering on the grounds at JC Golf Course, where he combines his passion for the outdoors with hands-on work. An avid golfer, bowler, hunter, and fisherman, Richard also enjoys spending time gardening and cultivating his love for nature.
